Although your boat is fully insured for loss or damage, however we recommend you consider taking out insurance to cover for other events: To cover you for the loss of pre-paid travel in the event of cancellation due to sickness, illness, accident, cyclone etc. QYC do not offer refunds and we strongly recommend you are covered by some form of travel insurance. This policy is designed to protect you from Claims made against you by others for Property Loss, Accidental Death, Bodily Injury or Illness to them caused by (or as a result of) your negligence. We can assist with obtaining the best policy for you. Depending on the size of the vessel it could cost between $60 - $100 for a 5 night charter.
DAMAGE WAIVER
You will be required to pay a Damage Waiver which can cost between $100 & $220 depending on the size of the vessel. This is non-refundable and covers minor loss and damaged items on the vessel per insurable incident. Also payable on arrival is a Marine Park Fee (reef tax) of $18.00 per person.

Your charter boat meets all safety requirements and has undergone an extensive check before you board. You'll have a ship-to-shore radio on board and will be in regular contact with base for daily check-ins, weather reports and for any local advice we can provide. Please note tha tchildren's lifejackets are not provided as the Queensland Department of Transport does not recognize approved lifejackets for any young children in your group. If you require children's lifejackets, we recommend they be hired from the Dive Shop at the marina.
Some basic boating experience is essential for your boating holiday. If you do not have a reasonable level, we suggest you try and gain some experience through friends or a Learn to Sail course. Alternatively, we can always place an experiened instructor onboard your vessel for a day or two from $115.00 for a half day.

All linens, towels, blankets, pillows, well equipped galley with refrigeration, hot and cold water, deck shower, snorkelling equipment, electric anchor winch, deck BBQ, cruising guide, navigation equipment, safety gear, wet weather jackets, CD player, toilets and showers, inflatable dinghy with outboard. Note: Fishing gear is not supplied on board and an hourly rate applies to vessels with air conditioning. Your boating holiday is fully inclusive in the price except for fuel which is a simple "pay as used" basis and applies to all sail and motor boats. You can expect to pay around $60.00 per day for motor boats. Dinghies include one full tank of fuel.
PROVISIONING
This is strictly your choice. You choose a provisioning package through our providores, Whitsunday Provisioning. They will provide you with the freshest produce and top quality meats and all of this is stored away on board your vessel for your arrival. Or you can simply decide to do your own thing. Just let us know if you require provisioning and we will send you the details.

Yachts are usually picked up and returned to the mainland marina at Able Point. Arrangements can be mad for a yacht to be picked up or left at Hamilton Island although a fee applies to this service.
